Steve decided to race on his own again in a newly purchased MG Maestro EFi. Converted by STR from a Track Day Toy, the Maestro went through a massive update for MSA Regulations and more importantly speed, although modified engine parts are difficult to find now for these cars. The year started off well with a good 3rd place qualifying at Brands Hatch but a Fuel Pump issue resulted in only a 6th place finish. Silverstone was much better with 2nd place finish in a very wet race 1 and 4th in a dry Race 2. A further 4 DNFs in the following 3 meetings resulted in a disappointing 10th in Class at the end of the year.
