After a disappointing 2015 Steve is racing a MG ZR160 this year. In the same Class as the Maestro the ZR boasts much more horsepower and better Suspension but regulations stipulate that we're restricted with Damper choice and Induction Mods. Steve is also lucky enough to have a sponsor on board this year which will be revealed along with the car design in due course.

Steve decided to race on his own again in a newly purchased MG Maestro EFi. Converted by STR from a Track Day Toy, the Maestro went through a massive update for MSA Regulations and more importantly speed, although modified engine parts are difficult to find now for these cars. The year started off well with a good 3rd place qualifying at Brands Hatch but a Fuel Pump issue resulted in only a 6th place finish. Silverstone was much better with 2nd place finish in a very wet race 1 and 4th in a dry Race 2. A further 4 DNFs in the following 3 meetings resulted in a disappointing 10th in Class at the end of the year.

Steve entered the MG Car Club Peter Best MG Cup in a MG ZS180 shared with fellow racer Ashley Cross, although a newly prepared car by BKR and set up by Steve Tyler Racing (STR) they won both races at the second meeting of the year at Brands Hatch. A couple of 2nd places at Silverstone on the F1 Circuit even in torrential rain on the Saturday saw them heading for Class B honours mid way through the year. At the Season finale at Snetterton, Ashley had another 1st in Class B but an Engine Failure in Race 2 saw Steve finish the year watching from the side of the track. Although the 1st place in Race 1 secured them overall winners in Class B.

Steve Tyler of British Legends restarted his racing hobby by entering the MG Owners Club race series in a MG Maestro EFi, only entering a few races that year but a good podium finish at Silverstone saw him finished in the top 5 at the end of the year.
